Read MoreCommercial energy efficiency projects create a dilemma for small- and medium-sized businesses. When it comes to funding for commercial energy efficiency projects, many still think in terms of banks (commercial and otherwise). Funds from other organizations are available, however – and often at terms that take the “infeasibility” out of energy efficiency projects...
Read MoreA great way to start 2012 is by getting an accurate picture of your company’s energy usage and how you might become more energy efficient. And a great way to do this is with a free energy assessment currently being offered by D.L. Steiner.
D.L. Steiner’s energy assessment is a CEM-completed engineering study that uses your company’s historical energy data, an inspection of your facility, and comparisons with industry averages to identify areas where you can increase energy efficiency and conservation—and save money!

With today’s uncertain energy costs, reducing energy consumption, or at least using energy more efficiently, is becoming a top priority for an increasing number of organizations. To help our clients improve their energy use, D.L. Steiner continues to explore and expand our energy management capabilities and services. One of the most notable developments in this area happened recently when D.L. Steiner President, Dan Steiner, learned he had earned the Certified Energy ManagerSM (CEM®) designation from the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the AEE has over 11,000 members in 78 countries.
The purpose of the CEM program is to raise the standards and practice of energy management by recognizing those who demonstrate both knowledge and ability to manage energy wisely. “CEM” is an international symbol of competence in currently accepted best practices for effective energy management. Steiner is one of only 8,500 CEMs worldwide.
“The CEM is a visible symbol of D.L. Steiner’s capabilities in energy management,” said Steiner. “It also represents our commitment to deliver complete energy solutions to our clients.”

Recent advances in both microprocessor- based monitoring and control devices and computer networking have expanded the range of power monitoring equipment available and improved functional capabilities of these devices. The result is a significant new potential for increasing power system reliability while simultaneously decreasing system operating costs. These advances along with deregulation are causing a growing number of plants to develop comprehensive new energy management strategies that help them maximize valuable energy resources. . .
The state of Ohio electric energy production and distribution is one of both great challenge and also considerable opportunity.
